When Mount Vesuvius erupted it took down everything in it's path.About a feet or more of ash was coming out from the volcano. No,one was able to survive it.The lava cooled and formed into rocks and rolled into Pompeii. After,Pompeii erupted in 1850 it was not recovered until 1890 when couple of guys constructed and recovered Pompeii. In year 1890,Mount Vesuvius erupted about 7 times in that year.
